TeenHires was born out of a simple yet frustrating challenge we all faced as high school students—finding work. Like millions of other teens, we wanted to start earning our own money, but the opportunities just weren’t there. Platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn didn’t offer many options for younger workers. Even when they did, the jobs were often outdated, or they simply didn’t meet our needs. The response times were slow, and there was little focus on the unique needs of teenagers looking to break into the workforce.

   We found ourselves in a dilemma—there was clearly work to be done. Businesses across St. Petersburg and the greater Tampa Bay area were hiring, but the accessibility of those opportunities was poor. We didn’t know where to look, and when we did, we faced endless frustration in our search for the right fit.

   That’s when we decided to take action. We knew that both businesses and young people like us needed a better way to connect. That’s how TeenHires came to be. Our goal was simple: to create a platform that bridges the gap between businesses—both large and small—and motivated, capable teenagers ready to work.

   Through TeenHires, we’ve created a space where businesses can easily post job openings, including custom descriptions tailored for young job seekers. Our platform focuses on the needs and goals of both employers and employees, ensuring that businesses in the St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay region can connect directly with eager, passionate teens who are ready to contribute.
